How and why was FFCF started?
In the wake of a fire or disaster, people are injured, homes and families are destroyed and lives changed forever. The Firefighters Charitable Foundation knows first hand the pain and suffering that can be caused in an instant. FFCF is a not for-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides direct aid to victims of fire or disaster, other non-profit agencies, and volunteer fire departments. FFCF is not a union or a representative of individual firefighters or their departments.
How long has FFCF been around?
In 1991, the Firefighters Charitable Foundation (FFCF) was founded.
What is FFCF's mission?
The Firefighters Charitable Foundation’s primary focus is to provide much needed financial assistance to individuals who have been affected by a fire or disaster and to support other charities, institutions, and volunteer fire departments.
What types of aid does FFCF provide?
Our support services and activities include but are not limited to the following:
Individuals
FFCF directs aid to individuals who have suffered damage due to a fire or disaster:
· Medical Care/Rehabilitation
· Housing
· Food, Shelter, Clothing
· Medical supplies and equipment
· Educational/Training, Scholarship
Institutions/Charities
FFCF provides funding for educational programs on fire safety and burn prevention, assistance to fire and disaster victims, medical equipment and supplies and supports other related charitable outreaches.
Volunteer Fire Departments (VFD) and Law Enforcement Agencies
FFCF provides funding for equipment, supplies, maintenance, repairs and training for volunteer fire departments and law enforcement agencies.

How does FFCF identify victims needing assistance?
The Firefighters Charitable Foundation identifies victims primarily through our volunteer brigade, volunteer fire departments, fire/disaster related charities and other organizations with similar outreach programs. These are our eyes and ears in local communities across the country.
How can I help?
We at the FFCF are very excited about the opportunity to get involved in helping those in need. With your help, we can aid those that need our help the most.
There are numerous ways you can aid the victims of fire and disaster:
· Provide funding for victim relief.
· Provide funding for specific grant programs.
· Provide products for personal hygiene kits.
· Become our eyes and ears in your local community by enrolling as a member of our volunteer brigade.
